Access 2000 and Unidata ODBC

I am trying to run a query in Access 2000 against linked UniData tables and get "ODBC call failed" errors. I only get the errors when I try to input parameter criteria for the query. If I type the information in directly in the query it works. I can run the same query with the parameter information in Access 97 and it work fine.

Does anybody know why this problem is occurring with Access 2000? or any possible solutions?
