Informix databases

Hi there,

I'm new with Informix and a problem came up. I need to access a Informix database (in Solaris) from a Windows machine. How can I do that? Is this possible?

Thanks in advance,
AS.

Why would you want to do that?
It will kill your network connection.
What exactly do you want to do? Do you need sql access?

Well,
I need it to a specific purpose to use the Microsoft Access database. But I only need to get it once. I just want to have a sample of that database to use it as a Microsoft Access database in my windows machine. I donīt need a permanent connection to the other machine. I just want to get it and open it with the Microsft Access.

Thanks,
AS

As you whish...
Just open in access a new datasource. If you installed the IConnect or CSDK on your Windows machine, you are able to configure an ODBC data source.
Click on that datasource and your tables are accessible from your Access 'database'...
