failed to update the system registry

hi,
i have installed informatica client in my system.
it was working well, but since yesterday giving the following error and designer closes.

failed to update the system registry.
please try using REGEDIT.

pmdesign.exe has generated errors and will be closed by windows. you will need
to restart the program.
an error log is being created.
