Executing stored procedure

Hello,

I want to execute stored procedure from the SQLPLUS of
informix. Is there any possibe way of executing the procedure
from SQLPLUS.

EXECUTE PROCEDURE proc_name();

fails from the SQLPLUS.Please let me know how can i execute procedure
from the SQLPLUS.

Can i use anonymous PL/SQL block as we can use in
Oracle for e.g

DECLARE
V_VARIABLE VARCHAR2(30);

BEGIN

EXECUTE PROCEDURE proc_name();.....

....

END

Is this syntax supported in informix????

Thanking you in advance

Arvind singh.

Informix has no product called SQLPLUS.

You need to be more specific. Which Informix products and
which versions are you using ?

I think you talk about 'isql'. AFAIK 'isql' does not support
the calling of stored procedures over the interactive
SQL interface.
You can use 'dbaccess'. This tool is delivered with the
databaseserver and supports the 'execute procedure..."
statement over the interactive SQL interface.
