I have a SPARC running Dynamic Server 7.31 UC5 on a client site.

The current backup solution is a little inflexible (i.e. offline backups of Hitachi disk volumes) and I'd like to employ onbar as a parallel solution.

Although I can start ISM with ism_startup with reported errors, I don't appear to have a table;

bar_version

in sysutils, that I can add ism values to.

Is this an indicator that the ISM install is not complete, or is it a "feature" of 7.31 UC5?

Starting with version 7.31.UC5 of IDS the sysutils:bar_version
table does no longer exist.

It is now a file in the filesystem:

$INFORMIXDIR/etc/sm_versions

A sample file is also provided:

$INFORMIXDIR/etcv/sm_versions.std
