Hello all,
I have this problem. 2 SunFire machines, running Solaris. I have an Informix Server in one machine, and the STAR product installed.
I followed all the instructions to set up sqlexec in /etc/services in both machines, I launched the sqlexecd deamon, which is running on the server side.
But when I tried to connect from the client, using dbaccess //servername/db_onserver I get this error on the DBACCESS screen:
529: Cannot attach to transaction.

What is this referencing at? any idea?? how can I make tests to try to see what's going on with the connectivity???
This is really URGENT for me, if anybody can help, I will really appreciate it!

Hi Viviana,

First try connecting thru odbc. Create a system dsn and try connecting it. Also you can try downloading informix client sdk 2.81 ver from the ibm site. IT will work, i am using the same.
