I am currently trying to run the ON-Bar utility to do tape backups on my SCO Openserver 5.0.6a server. I am using Informix IDS 7.31.uc5.
I've successfully installed the storage manager and attached it to my DLT tape drives (Compaq 35-70 DLT Tape Drives). I set the parallel processing to 2.
Starting the onbar -b L 0 backup works on both tape drives. One is backing up dbspace1 and the other dbspace2. When both drives back up 2gigs of data, they recycle and the backup seems to start over again.
I performed a test back up last Friday and let it run all night. When I checked on it on Saturday, they were still backing up dbspace 1 and 2, respectively.
I've called Informix and they don't know what is going on. Has anyone seen a similiar problem?
I appreciate any help you can give me. I'm stumped.
