Uniface & Informix - Performance

Informix 9.30.UC1
Uniface 7.2.06 SP4
Solaris 8 Sparc (PrimePower)

We're fighting for almost one year with a performance problem (we've read a lot of manuals, called the hotlines - OS, DB, 4GL) without luck :-(
I'm hopping, I can find someone here that can give me a hint.

The problem occurs when we start the batch jobs (everything is developed using Uniface). As long as the job runs, it gets slower and slower. The program is writing commits and we've played around with the commit frequency.

Thanks in advance,

Gustavo,

thanks for your reply. Yes, I know it is a particular case. But as I stated before, I hope (!!!) that someone can give me a hint (someone that had to dwell with such a situation in the near past).
