Serious Problem!

I´m doing some test using SQL Server DTS and this is what happens

I update some information to an informix table with no problem, but
when I read that informix table and happenes that a field is decimal type, everything to the right is change with something else (special characters, aleatory numbers, etc.)

Is this a Bug, is there a fix of this Bug or I´m doing something wrong??
