Hey all. This is definitly my new favorite forum. Anyway, we have an issue that comes up from time to time where users cannot use OLEDB (via SequeLink driver library) to connect to our informix database. The problem is not specific to the workstation using OLEDB - when the issue occurs no one/no servers can use the Informix database via OLEDB.

No errors, the connection just sort of stalls/hangs. At the same time you CAN connect via ODBC or even DBAccess...to solve the problem we have found that if we update statistics for procedures (update statistics for procedure) the problem goes away just about instantly. Conversely, if we do nothing the problem also goes away after 40 minutes or so!

Anyone ever see anything similar or know of a solution?
