We are running BAAN as a front end and Informix 7.3 as a backend database.

Since last 2 days the performance of the database has drastically become slow.

Can anyone suggest the way or tool to identify the problem area?

Just run this command....with all your tables.

UPDATE STATISTICS LOW FOR TABLE <table name> ;
