Is there any sqlplus equivalent client interface application in Informix. Where can i download it from. I am looking for this kind of application on both Win and unix(HP or Sun)

You can download Winsql a third party tool. Its very good. But make sure that you have Informix client installed and have created a System DSN. The link -

Yes Winsql is a very good tool. On Unix i use dbaccess or isql.

dbaccess comes with the informix server. Can i copy this to the client machine(where native informix drivers are installed and configured) and use this tool.

Pls let me know from where i can download isql.

Hi Hari,

This Winsql utility is for Windows, i am not sure whether you can use it in unix. ISQL is an informix tool which is budled with IDS, we cannot download it.
