Informix 4gl "cannot attach to shared memory"

Hello everybody,

I have informix 4gl installed on a unix server running an application for about 6 users. Today it got froze and I had to restart it. After a while the users couldn't log to the informix application anymore getting this error "cannot attach to shared memory".

Actually I'm not a good informix programmer, and I got stuck with this error. I tried to open r4gl application and still it's giving the same error.

Can anyone help please???

Regards,
Michel

Hi Michel,

If the instalation was ok, i think that you need variables definition Informix, INFORMIXDIR, ONCONFIG, PATH=$INFORMIXDIR/bin:$PATH for all users.

Gustavo.
