Our informix dba is not avialiable, and now I'm picking up the slack. I can only spell informix.

I have an imediate task of resetting a users password. and want to check before I try this.

in oracle i would use sqlplus with alter user .... identified by ...;

What is the tool and what is the command to change an informix users password?

Unlike oracle, Informix uses the OS security, so if you need to reset the users password, do so using the OS command PASSWD.
