I've set-up a Toshiba Tecra with Win-Xp Pro running a Perl web based application on IIS and Informix OnLine 9.4: all the pieces seems work fine but if the PC is turned on without the network connection and after that I active a network connection (locale, via a network cable or remote via the internet remote connection) no software, my perl application via dbi or the dbaccess, is capable to connect to the database server (-908 error). I observe the same bad behavior if I turn on the pc with a network connection active (locale via the network cable - all work fine -) and successively I disconnect the pc from the network detaching the cable: no software is capable to connect to the db server. In both situations, the onstat utility reports the "on line" status.
