chunk error

Hello.

We have an old Informix OnLine version 5.0 based database running on HP-UX ver 9.00. The system was shutdown for maintenance purposes and was not restarted properly (someone forgot switching on the hard SCSI hard disk module) and Informix log reports an consistency error (errno 23) and one chunk is down (status PD-).

This chunk resides on a raw disk partition.

Do I have to restore the database from backup ?

Tanks.

Hi,
Please run tbcheck -pr then test for chunk off-line. Correct these next restart database from archive.

Gustavo.

Hola Gustavo.

Gracias por tu respuesta.

No se si te he entendido bien:

Primero tengo que ejecutar tbcheck -pr, y a continuación reiniciar Informix y realizar una restauración desde la copia de seguridad. ¿ Es esto lo que me sugireres ?

Gracias otra vez.
