Can I run onbar and ontape at the same time?

We have a regular daily onbar backup. We need to duplicate it with another server to test the database upgrade but the onbar is not configured to the new server. Our alternative is to use ontape.

So can I use ontape (different device) together with onbar? Any conflict to this? Thanks.

Hi,

Ibm-Informix suggest that you use onbar OR ontape.
Now, if platform is the same, then can you use onload and onunload utility or using ontape and restore or use HDR.
