Red face Set Explain On

Hi!

I want to run a query with a set explain on and I get the following error:

[Informix][Universal Server][simp_d] SQL Error (-534) : Cannot open EXPLAIN output file.

But I'm running it from the server using dbaccess logged with the user informix .
What's the problem?

Hi Marce,

The problem could be with lack of write permissions in the current directory. Why don't you login as a normal user & execute the command.

Lloyd

Hi,

Under your informix directory there should be one directory
sqexpln. Under this the sqlplan will be stored.
