Our direct client - a very prestigious global investment bank is looking for a senior ETL (informatica) developer
to join their data services group located in downtown Manhattan.

Position Description:
• Design and develop transformation processes to load data from source to target
• Develop and tune ETL mappings and sessions
• Code and document scripts and stored procedures for data warehousing processes
• Performance and tuning of ETL tool for parallel loads and cache optimization
• Document ETL processing systems

Skills Required:
• 5 years experience with the design, development, and implementation of data warehouses
• 4 years experience developing with Informatica ETL tool (v6.2 and v7.2)
• 5 years relational database experience (2 years using DB2 UDB)
• Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts
• Proficiency in C, Perl, and Korn Shell programming.
• Strong understanding of OLTP and dimensional modeling
• Experience optimizing large data loads
• Experience with VLDB applications
• Strong UNIX-Solaris scripting experience to support data warehousing tasks
• Strong SQL programming and stored procedure development skills
• Process oriented, focused on standardization, streamlining, and implementation of best practices
• Excellent problem solving skills
• Proven teamwork, and communication skills
• It will be imperative to demonstrate technical expertise in the required areas by showing/discussing a portfolio
of specific project(s) accomplished.

Skills Desired:
• DB2 Data Propagator
• Strong UNIX and NT admin skills
• Experience with query and reporting tools such as Brio Enterprise and Business Objects
• DB2 database development and performance tuning experience
• Experience developing and maintaining metadata repositories Experience with data modeling tools
(ERwin, Data Architect, Designer, or similar CASE tools)
