• This position is a senior MS SQL Database Administrator (DBA) in a centralized database administration team, which provides 7x24 support in dev/test/prod environments.
• Responsibilities include designing, installing, upgrading, patching, tuning, monitoring and troubleshooting databases with large amounts of data and high transaction rates. Capacity planning, security administration and user account maintenance are also required tasks.
• Candidate must be well versed in MS SQL Server 2000 and knowledge of SQL 2005 Database Administration on Windows 2003 platforms running in a clustered environment.
• Immediate participation in an active on-call pager rotation is required.Must be capable of providing off-hours support to avoid impacting database availability during normal business hours.

Other Requirements/Notes:
Windows clustering knowledge is desirable. Mentoring junior members is a good advantage
