ettain group is presently accepting resumes of Sybase Database Administrators with Replication Server experience to entertain a long-term contract with our client, one of the largest and most well-known mortgage lending companies in the Nation's Capitol.

Based in Reston, the Sybase DBA will be working on a dynamic team of 8, consisting of some of the best minds in the IT field. Our client enjoys a reputation amongst technology professionals as a place where progressive minded individuals get to work with the latest technologies for top-notch management. This contract is slated to last throughout 2006 and long beyond that. The DBA can expect to work 40 hours/week, with the occasional Saturday, which he/she is either compensated for, or given comp time.

Requirements:
-Minimum 3 years of experience administering Sybase databases.
-Extensive knowledge of Replication Servers and production support.
-Ability to work the occasional Saturday when rolling out new applications (occurs roughly once/month)
-Flexibility to provide database maintenance as early as 3am-6am, perhaps 2-3 times/month (DBA will be allowed to leave early on these days).

Nice to have:
UNIX Shell Scripting to ensure that enhancements can be made to the pre-existing procedural scripts.

Background of Project: Senior Oracle DBA positions with above par communication skills as they will be key advisers to the DCMA CIO office and other production support staff. Oracle 10g experience is a must. The candidates have to be within daily commuting distance as they may be called in (only in extreme emergencies) at night to support 24/7 operations. These positions are long term.
