Detailed Description of Daily Assignment:
• Install, configure and administer DB/2 database for B2B Gateway.
• Gather database usage and database performance metrics.
• Analyze statistics and develop the plan for performance tuning of the database.
• Establish methodology for capacity planning for the database.
• Perform runtime database maintenance i.e. reorgs, backups, tablespace mangement, etc.
• Assist with application performance and functionality troubleshooting in the database area.
• Work with infrastructure teams (UNIX, Storage, Network) and application team to develop the strategy for performance tuning.
