Teradata Database Consultant (Performance Tuning)

A strategic client of A.C.Coy's is seeking a talented Teradata Database Consultant (Performance Tuning), to join them on a fulltime basis. This position is "virtual", so no relocation is necessary, but it does require up to 100% travel.

You as the Teradata Database Consultant (Performance Tuning) will assess all aspects of a customer’s environment as it relates to optimization and performance of their databases. You will analyze applications including, but not limited to, CPU and IO usage, user demographics, join paths, data skew, system settings and other aspects of optimization, and you will mentor client on Performance best practices and methodologies Mentor junior level consultants on engagements; teach skills to others, share lessons learned


If you have a degree, 5 plus years of Teradata Data Warehousing experience, 5 plus years of Teradata database design, performance tuning and workforce management experience, and have experience with Teradata Capacity Planning, then this is the position you have been looking for! Teradata certifications are big plus. Client is offering a base salary up to $120000 a year, with a bonus plan and excellent benefits.
