Job Description: .Net

The candidate must be a self-starter with experience in developing and supporting web enabled and windows based database applications. The successful candidate will have experience in any of the following development languages: .NET framework (both web and windows) or other object oriented languages, C#, VB.NET, ASP.NET, ADO.NET, JAVA, JAVAScript, XML, HTML SQL Server and Oracle. Knowledge of Visual Studio.NET in application development and experience in MS SharePoint Portal would be a plus.



The candidate will be tasked with developing, maintaining and enhancing a variety of web-based and window based database applications. The candidate will be responsible for designing, coding, testing, debugging and documenting all aspects of the application. Must have excellent written and oral communication skills, and present products and ideas in a business-like manner. Strong interpersonal skills are required due to continual interaction with clients, managers and users with varying technical backgrounds in a fast paced work environment. Familiarity with the Capability Maturity Model Integrated (CMMI), the Microsoft Solutions Framework, and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and product deliverables is recommended.



Background and Experience Required (a): (including education, skills, work activities)

Top Secret Clearance AND meet the requirements of DCID 6/4.

4-6 of overall experience in software development.

2-3 years of experience in Object Oriented Development.

Experience developing in a Windows 2003/2000/XP environment.



Background and Experience Desired (b): (including education, skills, work activities)

Top Secret Clearance AND meet the requirements of DCID 6/4.

B.S. Computer Science, Information System, Mathematics, or IT related field.

6 years of overall experience in software development.

4-6 years of experience in Object Oriented Development.

Experience with C# Programming Language, SQL Server and Oracle.

The successful candidate must be able to communicate clearly and succinctly both written and orally, and present products and ideas in a business-like manner. A basic understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle and product deliverables is recommended. A strong emphasis is placed on positive interpersonal skills. Must be experienced in interfacing with clients, managers and system users.
