An internal organization of a Fortune 500 company has an immediate opportunity for a motivated, ambitious software developer/engineer on our build team. The successful candidate for this position will have the following responsibilities:

Position Requirements:

* 2+ years of work experience with Java, ANT and/or Python
* 2+ years of work experience with at least two of the following platforms: Unix/Linux, Windows, z/OS, Solaris
* 2+ years of work experience developing with C/C++
* Proven experience working with software configuration management (SCM) tools as a developer or build engineer
* Understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and how development, build, test and regression systems interact
* Effective communication skills with the ability to interface in a complex matrix environment
* Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems or Engineering
* Off-shift and vacation coverage may be required

Duties and Responsibilities:

* Support existing build infrastructure by writing, enhancing and debugging scripts and programs used in our build process
* Manage build process with a specific emphasis using both internally developed and commercial build tools
* Support existing regression architect to create and manage interfaces between build and regression tools
* Monitor, record and perform fault analysis with build systems and with results generated by build systems
* Manage delivery of builds to multiple external customers and internal resources
* Identify and implement improvements to processes, scripts and build environment as the build technical resource for all of R&D

Preferred experience would include:

* Code coverage analysis
* Use or implementation of Electric Cloud, CollabNet, Cruise Control, Incredibuild
* Perl programming
* Leading projects and teams
