Work closely with Altiris Technical Support and Professional Services teams to identify and resolve issues and to mitigate impactSupporting ITIL processes and proceduresMaintain a high level technical expertise with Altiris and legacy solutionsEducation:Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university in an IT related field preferredExperience:5-7 years of experience in IT enterprise environment with focus in infrastructure operations Basic understanding of IT Asset Lifecycle management and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) 1+ years experience with IT desktop management or client systems in one or more of the following will get preference: Microsoft SMS; HP OpenView; IT Asset Management Systems experience (Altiris AMS and barcode solution, Asset Center, etc.) would be plus1+ years experience in one or more of the following will get preference: Automated inventory collection; Desktop service support and/or administration; Understanding of IMAC activities/processes; Complex change and/or release management Technical Skillstrong SQL & PL/SQL skills are MUST. Need at least 5-7 years of working experience. Microsoft SQL Server administration experience is plus.3-5 years of web/application development experience using Visual Studio, Visual Basic .Net, ADO.Net, ASP.Net, and T-SQL (SQL Server); Scripting tools; Enterprise application architectures, including .Net is MUSTWorking knowledge of Internet technologies, including IIS, HTML, XML, HTTP, HTTPS, FTP Working knowledge of MS Office Suite Basic experience with Altiris Asset Management System is preferredWorking knowledge of Standard client platform administration, configuration, rights management and file access with Windows (Win 9x, NT, 2000, XP) is required. Unix understanding (e.g. Solaris, HP-UX, AIX) would be a plusBasic understanding of Microsoft Windows NT Domains, Windows 2000 Active DirectoryUnderstanding of IT operations (ITIL, service support, service delivery, etc.) is desiredPerformance Skills:Excellent oral/written communications, problem solving and multi tasking skills Proven success under aggressive schedules and ambiguous requirements is required Strong influence/interpersonal skills, customer orientation, team interaction/effectiveness, analytical skills and decision making ability required Strong skills eliciting requirements and defining limits to project scope
