Candidates MUST have both SQL Server 2008 and Oracle 10g experience.

The contractor will develop and implement a system for the collection, storage, and retrieval of survey data for licensees of clients eight departments using Oracle 10i (data structures) and SQL Server 2008.

The project will include requirement gathering, architecture analysis and planning, replication from Oracle to SQL Server, writing stored procedures (combination of PL/SQL and Transact SQL), the equivalent of DTS jobs (for running clean up routines at night, and linking of data routines), encryption and decryption of specific data elements, backup creation and maintenance, documentation, transfer of knowledge on how to operate, and the ability to interface with other divisions within the organization.

Other duties may include projecting software and hardware requirements for the application software; planning and directing the acquisition and use of IT products, services and resources; assigning personnel to projects and evaluating work; developing software release management processes; conferring with users to define organizations application software needs; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; and providing technological leadership on complex projects.
