Senior Database Administrator

This position requires expertise in Oracle 10g and 11g, Oracle Certification and experience in UNIX, LINUX and Windows environments. The candiate will be responsible for database performance tuning, creating triggers/stored procedures in PL/SQL, developing data and process flow models, assisting in the logical and physical database modeling process, troubleshooting database performance problems, developing Disaster Recovery/fail over/ Business Continuity Plan, developing automated processes for obtaining data from different databases and assisting application development teams in creating optimal design for reporting systems.

Other duties include:
 Configure MS SQL Server- Oracle connections and TSE/TPIS database updates
 Assist Sr. Programmer/Analyst in developing and enhancing Reporting capability of TPIS system
 Improve Ease-of-use of TPIS interface and Databases
 Improve System Capacity and Reliability
 Configure all TPIS Database Servers and Application Servers for Backup to disk
 Configure TPIS web interface and databases for redundancy and continuity
 Create download and load procedures to allow extraction of WEO data and loading to TPIS database
 Add databases for Industrial Production, Prices and Employment form BLS and or BEA to use in Country Reports and Industry Reports
 Create stored procedures in PL/SQL in TPIS database servers
 Automate retiring old job requests
 Diagram TPIS System, creating process flow diagrams showing flow of information into and out of system, processing by TPIS web interface procedures and processing procedures including outputs to users

Specific Skills

 Certified Oracle DBA
 Expertise in Oracle Database design and administration, particularly Oracle 10g and 11g
 Experience with Oracle Application Server
 Expertise in MS SQL Server 2005 database administration
 Expertise in PL/SQL and SQL
 Experience with Oracle APEX and Oracle IAS Reports
 Expertise with Javascript, PERL scripting and cgi web application design
 Experience working in a Linux and Windows environment
 Experience configuring IIS
