Client is looking a Database Developer with 2+ years of experience in SQL Server with version 2005/2008 experience including C#. This individual will have heavy SQL development skills including stored procedures, queries, tables, and views. The ideal candidate will have experience with data warehousing.

Areas of Responsibility:
• Developing reports using Crystal Reports and Microsoft SSRS; modifying existing reports
• Optimizing database code
• Create new SSIS packages
• Maintain existing DTS packages
• Convert DTS packages to SSIS
• Run ad hoc database queries
• Convert Access Databases to SQL Server
• Miscellaneous tasks requiring software/database development skills

Senior SQL Server Database Administrator to join our consulting team. Qualified candidates will work on Homeland Security projects with senior developers that specialize in the development of applications that utilize the entire Microsoft application stack.
Location is Alexandria, VA

Responsibilities

• Manage large high-availability SQL Server 2005 environment.
• Proactively monitor database performance and stability.
• Provide and maintain Backup / Recovery models.
• Troubleshooting application issues with additional technical personnel.
• Collaborate with development team on technical solutions.
• Provide high-quality consultation to business partners.
• Demonstrate keen aptitude in acquiring business domain expertise.
• Follow established enterprise development and design standards, guidelines and processes.
• Ensure that all best practices and enterprise standards are followed.
• Ensure deadlines are met, yet be forthright on progress and flexible.
• Produce high-quality technical documentation.
• Interact with team members at a highly professional and technical level.
Job Qualifications
Skill Requirements

• 5+ years of work experience as a Database Administrator supporting Microsoft SQL Server versions 2005 and later.
• 5+ years of working with large-scale database residing in a highly-available environment.
• 5+ years of maintaining multiple environments supporting different business goals (Production, Development, Testing, etc).
• 5+ years of SQL Server BI tools (SSIS / SSRS / SSAS).
• Experience Data Modeling, Troubleshooting and Performance Tuning.
• Experience of incorporating Security and Encryption features included in SQL Server.
• Experience performing SQL Server Installations and Upgrades from previous versions.
• Basic understanding of ASP.NET Web Development (2.0 and later).
• Microsoft MCDBA (or similar certification) will be a plus.

Candidates should possess and be able to demonstrate a high level of proficiency in the following:

• Microsoft SQL Server Administration (2005 and Later)
• SQL Server BI Suite (2005 and later) and related ETL tools (SQL Server 2000)

Working knowledge and proficiency of the following is also preferred:

• Microsoft SQL Server development (2005 and later)
• Visual Source Safe or equivalent source control software
• SCRUM and Agile methodologies
• Microsoft Project Server

Professional Requirements

• Professional consulting experience and background required.
• Proven strong innovative and analytical ability with extensive implementation experience.
• Must be a “team player” and have excellent written and oral communication skills.
• “Self-Starter” that has the ability to work under general direction.
• Ability to balance work across multiple projects concurrently.
• BA/BS in Computer Science, MIS, or other IT related field preferred.
• United States Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Customs and Border Protection suitability.

SQL Server Developer

The position is directly for our client to a Pentagon Client and does require an Active Secret Clearance. Experience is Mid Level and the Salary range is from $80-90K.

I need an up and comer who can start asap with at least an Interim Secret or higher.
