Job Description:
Database Administrator

We are seeking a strong Oracle and SQL Server professional for a hands-on, technical role. The ideal candidate will be familiar with architecture, logical and physical design, automation, documentation, installs, shell scripting, PL/SQL programming, backup and recovery, monitoring, and database and query tuning. Oracle 10g and SQL Server 2005 experience required.



Desired work experience

-Scoping out projects and recommending infrastructure
-Full life cycle support of client's database(s)
-Database backups, recoveries, patches, and upgrades
-Work with developers to design and build new structures/databases to support future enhancements to the applications;
-Implement database changes as part of software releases;
-Monitor databases to ensure high availability and optimum performance
-Write scripts to automate processes
-document existing database and maintain documentation set w/each subsequent change

Requirements
5+ years of experience w/Oracle in Unix/Linux OS
2+ years of experience3 w/SQL Server 05 is required
BS/BA in computer science or related or equivalent experience
Oracle 10g/9i and SQL Server required
Database monitoring tool
Dimensional data modeling required
OLTP Systems experience required; prefer experience in data warehousing
Oracle Streams preferred
RMAN
Experience w/Clustered environment preferred
Partitioning PL/SQL
Performance and tuning
Shell scripting
Oracle support in .net environment
ETL experience preferred
