Overview
One of our very long-time clients in NY City is currently looking to hire a Senior Software Engineer with a strong back-end Java J2EE web applications development background.
This is a full-time position within the client’s Web Technology Group. This is not a front-end job, it is for a strong back-end developer with EJBs, Spring and Hibernate. If no Hibernate, a similar tool can be one that is commercially available or a home-grown system – you will be asked to explain the similarities and differences between Hibernate and the other system.

Responsibilities include assisting in the analysis, design, construction, testing, implementation and maintenance of systems.

Requirements
• Effective oral and written communication, and presentation skills (lots of interaction with technical and non-technical staff at various levels)
• No visa sponsorships or transfers
• Heavy backend database development (Oracle preferred) with SQL and entity relationship modeling (current usage)
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Must reside within a reasonable commuting distance of midtown
• J2EE – 2+ years (current usage)
• WebLogic – 2+ years (current usage)
• Spring/Hibernate – 1+ year (current usage) – or similar tool
• Ant / Ant Maker CVS – Some
• IDE – some
• Rose or some UML tool, and able to code from design – Some
• SQL Server – 1+ year (current usage)
• Entity relationship modeling – 1+ year (current usage)
