Our Columbus OH area client requires the expertise of a heads down developer who will be responsible for designing, implementing and providing Tier-3 support for applications, systems and IT products required to enable client’s business objectives. This is a 3-4 month Contract with the possibility of extensions.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be a part of two very large projects –

1) a Medical Transformation of all the products from one business unit onto a new platform and

2) HR Integration project that involves pulling all documents related to 35,000 employee files off of current platform and migrating onto new environment.

Other Duties Include:
• Performs application development using the syntax, structure, features and facilities of multiple programming languages
• Develops program specifications.
• Uses deep subject matter/functional expertise, influence and process skills to help internal/external customers and stakeholders identify and meet their high priority needs while considering cultural and diversity implications.
• Jointly develops practical implementation plans that consider cultural sensitivities with other accountable parties.
• Encourages informed Risk-taking and acts as a catalyst for innovation
• Generate practical, sustainable and creative options to solve problems and create business opportunities, while maximizing existing resources.
Proactively develops supports and maintains technical knowledge in specialized area(s), remaining up-to-date on current trends and best practices;
Performs assessments and listens to internal/external customers to understand and anticipate their needs and determine their priorities in the context of the overall enterprise.

Requirements

This is a heads down developer role that needs to be strong technically with the IBM Content Manager Product and J2EE.
This individual will need to hit the ground running.

• 3 years minimum practical experience of IBM Content Manager i.e. Server components, Item Types, icmrm.
• Clear concepts of IBM Content Manager’s Security and Data Models.
• 2 – 3 years J2EE experience
• 3 years minimum with Java development.
• Web Service Development/Deployment.
• Experience in programmatically interfacing with third party application will be a plus.
• Working Knowledge in IBM Document Manager
• Knowledge of II4C libraries sdk and cmb beans.
• SQL specifically DB2 experience.
• WebSphere Application Server experience.
• Eclipse/RAD experience.
• Bachelor's Degree in computer science or related field preferred or equivalent work experience
• Proficient with a PC - Windows, Word, Excel, e-mail, etc...
• Excellent analytical & communications skills
