Exclamation Access Database Developer / Consultant - San Antonio, TX

Role: Access Database Developer
Type: Contract / Consultant
Location: San Antonio, TX (Northeast side)

Company Details: Jordan-Sitter Associates (JSA) is an executive search firm located in San Antonio, TX. For over 30 years, we've placed mid-level to senior executive level candidates for the construction equipment industry. Our offices are open Monday through Friday, from 8am to 5pm.

Position Summary: This Access Database Developer will be responsible for promptly attending to emergency support requests and feature requests made by JSA in regards to our proprietary database (here on referred to as D1). This includes responding to and resolving work orders to ensure that D1 operates successfully and efficiently, consulting with managers and system users to plan, develop, evaluate, and revise existing and future D1 functionality, and train users on program operations. This individual must also be comfortable with installing D1 on a production system if that need ever arises. A D1 Backup & Restoration Procedure Guide will be provided should the need arise.

This role should not be looked at as a full-time position but instead as a contract position, where you can earn supplemental income (a likely scenario although not guaranteed would be a few hours a month on an as-needed basis).

Desired Qualifications:

1. Extensive Microsoft Access Database Experience. 5-7 years of experience; specifically with building tables, data entry forms and reports. Comfortable using the Access Graphical Query Designer and Query Wizards to complete necessary tasks.

2. Computer Hardware Experience. 2-3 years of experience and a working knowledge in building, repairing or troubleshooting PC’s and related hardware

3. Networking (LAN) Experience. 2-3 years of experience and a working knowledge of peer to peer networking (LAN)

4. Microsoft Windows & Office Experience. 5-7 years of experience and strong working knowledge working in and troubleshooting issues with Microsoft Windows 2000/XP and Office 2000/XP/2003

How to Apply:

If you are interested, please send an email to ben AT jordansitter DOT com, with "Jordan-Sitter Associates - Access Database Consultant - Request" in the subject line, and I will respond as quickly as possible.

Thank you,
Ben Tovar | IT Manager | Jordan-Sitter Associates
