Innovative, growing internet company seeks a similarly motivated Senior DBA to maintain and improve the performance and stability of our cutting edge software. If you are a DBA looking for the opportunity to make an impact at a successful online company, our company is for you. The individual will be responsible for establishing the database team and department. The Senior DBA will work closely with our IT management and will have a tremendous space to grow. This is a hands-on position.

Responsibilities:
-Maintain and design DB structure
-Improve existing database structures.
-Port database structure between MySQL and Oracle
-Monitor database throughput and suggest improvements
-Create stored procedures that would integrate with existing environment requirements
-Put in place continuity plans for DB recovery

Qualifications:
-MySQL 5 - Stored Procedures/Functions, Database and Queries Optimization, MySQL cluster 7
-Experience with UML
-Experience with Oracle 10g
-Experience with Oracle 11g is a big plus
-Experience dealing with financial data/PCI compliance a plus
-Experience with 3rd party backup and performance diagnosis and monitoring tools
-Understanding in Java development is a plus
-Positive attitude is a must
