Position Title: SQL Database Administrator

Job Description:

· At least four years (4+ years) experience developing systems with relational database applications in Oracle, Sybase, SQLite, MySQL, or PostgreSQL, with firm working knowledge of the following concepts:

· Database design

· Data Modeling

· Performance & tuning

· Parallel Processing/Search

· Distributed Metadata; XML / UML

· High Volume, Low Latency Transaction Databases

· Software Engineering/Development

· Software Reuse/Object Oriented Development

· OS environment (5+ years experience)

· Ability to work in a Linux environment

· Ability to work in a Windows NT environment

· Knowledge of government and commercial database development and administration practices and products

· Experience with Java Database Connectivity (JDBC) technology

· Experience in requirement analysis/generation and developing systems and software architecture
