We are Niche Technologists, Inc. an IT consulting and staffing company with a strong presence in the Business Intelligence/DSS/OLAP sector.

Niche has been delivering services to clients throughout the U.S. since 1993 both consulting resources, and job applicants for full-time positions.

We are currently looking to hire 2 Business Objects consultants (X1 R2) for an estimated 10 month engagement slated to begin sometime in December (NY City’s midtown area).

The rate is negotiable but need be competitive.

Note that we have been providing consulting and perm placement services to this client for more than 10 years and have good relations at various levels.

No visa sponsorship and no applicants through 3rd party companies.

Our preference is 1099 independent consultants or we will hire on a W2 contract hourly basis for the duration of the project.

We will hire a Senior Technical & Analytical BO Developer, and a Senior Technical BO Developer.

The must have qualifications are shown below.

Senior Technical & Analytical Developer

1. 5+ years BO design and development (data modeling universes & reports)
2. Must have experience with X1 R2
3. 2+ years writing complex freehand SQL (Oracle preferred) to collect, analyze data and test reports.
4. Heavy background developing reports, scorecards and dashboards using BO
5. Experience gathering requirements and interacting with business users
6. Good independent worker requiring little supervision
7. Very strong communication skills - can communicate clearly and concisely, orally and in writing.

Senior Technical BO Developer

1. 5+ years developing complex SQL queries and PL/SQL procedures to be used as data providers to create and test BO reports
2. Experience collaborating with business users, business analysts, and developers to understand, analyze and develop BI solutions
3. Extensive testing experience using complex SQL queries
4. Must have experience with BO X1 R2
5. Very strong communication skills
6. Good independent worker requiring little supervision
7. 5+ years BO design and development (data modeling universes & reports)
