Position: Test Engineer

The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman’s Health Solutions Management division which focuses on healthcare IT solutions for our Federal, state, and local government clients. Our practice area in Woodlawn, Md consults primarily to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) as well as the Social Security Administration (SSA).
The successful candidate will be responsible for analysis of business and system requirements, development of test cases, system and integration testing, and other project related activities. The Test engineer will attend requirements reviews, JAD sessions, create various testing documentation, and work closely with the Requirements Analysts and Developers to identify and resolve defects. Additional responsibilities may include analysis of Change Requests, participation in status meetings, and support of other members of the team with day-to-day tasks.

Basic Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, the candidate must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:
• BS in Computer Science or related field, equivalent combination of experience and education will be accepted.
• 5+ years of IT testing experience – manual and automated testing experience of web applications including database validations.
• Hands on experience with Quality Center, XML, and SQL.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Expertise with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Visio)
Preferred Qualifications
Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:
• Past experience working in CMMI Maturity Level 3 environment
• Experience with CMS and/or the healthcare industry
• Experience creating and running automated test scripts
