Overview
We currently have a Senior-level hands-on Informatica Architecture/ETL Team/ Lead/Manage position available in NY City (a full-time position, not consulting). The successful candidate needs have experience leading and managing ETL projects and a small team of ETL Developers.

This position requires strong architectural experience, a broad and deep understanding of challenges with data management in large enterprises, data acquisition, data integration and data quality architecture, and extensive experience in developing and managing full life cycle ETL projects.

This is a very technical position and a strong architectural background is vital.
Any prior experience automating data validation processes, performance metrics, Informatica administration and Informatica upgrades are desirable.

The starting base salary is very attractive plus bonus and excellent benefits package. The client will seriously consider relocation for qualified candidates. Note that seriously consider will take into account such things as does the person have family or friends in the area, was he or she raised in the area, went to school in the area, etc. In other words, the client is not likely to relocate anyone who has no “ties” in the area in case the job doesn’t work out for whatever reason(s).

Your experience needs to include the following:

• Working with Application Development, UNIX, DBA management, and staff on full life-cycle of in-house development projects.
• Acted in the roles of Project Lead and managed a small team to ensure appropriate utilization and productivity, participate in performance evaluations and staff development.
• Supporting the overall design and development of the data integration projects.
Review and approve data architecture in order to ensure compliance with architectural standards.
• Mapping source-to-target data elements, designed and developed transformations to load data from source to target, developed and tuned ETL mappings and sessions.
• Designed and developed Oracle stored procedures, UNIX scripts, and scheduled jobs using TIDAL (or similar).
• Established and implemented standards, processes and best practices.
• Project Management: Successfully managed and executed multiple complex projects although constraint of time, resources and scope.
• Provided support in the development of overall project management strategy and execution.
• Actively monitored project risks and scope creep to foresee and identify potential problems and solutions.
• Managed multiple development environments to maximize parallel development efforts in a resource effective manner.
• Worked with the various teams in all phases (design, development, testing, deployment and maintenance support) to ensure efficient, stable, and scalable systems.
• Provided technical support and mentored ETL team members.
• Provided off-hour support when needed.

Other requirements
• Bachelor’s or Masters degree preferably in Computer Science or Information Systems Management.
• Experience in leading ETL engagements from design through implementation of large/complex data integration projects.
• 2 plus years of project management experience.
• 7 plus years of experience in Informatica PowerCenter (must have worked on Informatica 8.1 or higher)
• 5 plus years working experience in Oracle Databases.
• Good knowledge of ETL processes and Informatica Best Practices.
• Strong knowledge of dimensional modeling and data warehousing best practices.
• Ability to gather business requirements from a Business Intelligence team and transform into functional requirements.
• Understanding of change control management and production support processes.
• Able to prepare implementation plan and contingency plan for supported applications.
• Strong communication skills and able to work independently with Business Analysts.
• Experience in AIX Platform preferred.
• Experience in automating data validation processes, and performance metrics preferred.
• Experience in Informatica upgrades preferred.
• Experience in Tidal batch scheduling tool preferred.
• Informatica certification is desirable.
• Experience with Informatica Data Quality and Power Exchange preferred.
• PMP or other project management certifications are a plus preferred.
