GIS/Web Applications Developer



We are seeking an experienced Applications Developer to join our client on a 6 month Temp to Perm basis, at their Richmond VA corporate location, in order to design and develop applications for our clients growing base of GIS web and mobile solutions. The successful Applications Developer will have experience in the entire software development lifecycle, be able to positively interact with clients and the clients teams, and contribute to developing development process standards and procedures (ex. – continuous integration, automated deployments). You will develop, architect, recommend, and implement solutions for commercial and government web applications, work with the teams and clients to understand requirements and transform them into award-winning applications, and analyze and document software requirements, prepare design specifications, develop software, participate in agile development processes, create and implement unit tests / test plans and installation packages on a C#.NET / ArcGIS Server platform. You should be able to demonstrate and provide samples of exemplary application development that exceeded client’s expectations if you apply for this position. You must be a leader and take pride in your work.





We are seeking someone with the following skills and qualifications;



4+ years professional experience .NET development using C#

Rock-solid in software design and process

Direct experience with MS Silverlight and Expression Studio or ability to pick up quickly

Strong knowledge of web-based GIS concepts and ArcGIS Server

Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment

Experience with agile development process preferred.

A solid understanding of applications architecture and best practices for code development and deployment is also required.

Projects will primarily be based on ESRI’s ArcGIS Server 9.x and 10.x technologies – knowledge of these technologies and ArcObjects is highly desirable.





Salary for this position is up to $85,000.00 a year with an excellent benefits package.
