Title: Middleware Administrator

Location: Jersey City

Duration: Permanent

Responsibilities:

· Enhancement and 2nd-level troubleshooting for enterprise applications supporting trading and client services

· Perform implementation, maintenance, remediation, and troubleshooting services for enterprise applications supporting trading and client services

· Provide off hours on call support

· Proactively integrate tactical & strategic business initiatives with TD Ameritrade enterprise environment

· Guide the growth and tactical planning of the TD Ameritrade application infrastructure

· Adhere to standards and deployment methodologies

· Research, evaluate and test new technologies

· Propose, design, and implement enhancements and additions to current environment

· Serve as escalation point for resolving complicated production and design problems (requires extended skill sets and extensive research)

· Develop application maintenance standards and procedures

· Prepare business cases and price cost estimates for Application Engineering projects

· Provide progress reports for management

· Coordinate all assigned project tasks for on-time/on-budget fulfillment of project goals

Requirements:

· Bachelors degree in Computer Services, Math, or Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience

· Required industry experience 3-5 years

· Experience with the following: J2EE application server administration and configuration, Unix\Linux administration and shell scripting, JMS, JNDI, JMX, SOA, SDLF, TCP/IP Networking, High Availability solutions, Load Balancing and Firewalls.

· Strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to communicate technical information to non-technical personnel

· Knowledge of computer/network systems infrastructure requirements and standards
