Senior Datawarehouse Architect

Full-time position in the Hartford, Connecticut area for a Senior Data warehouse Architect.
Local candidates only, no relocation assistance. No visa sponsorships or transfers currently being offered.

Requirements

• Solid design and architectural experience working with a large 10+ terabyte Data warehouse, ETL, and Business Intelligence environment
• Practical knowledge of DataStage and Business Objects
• Familiarity with the DBMS’s functional role within a 10+ terabyte data warehouse
• Conceptual knowledge of UML techniques
• Able to demonstrate experience with data integration, data mapping, and data conformance techniques
• Experience architecting, developing, deploying and supporting large-scale computing applications across multiple operating systems, languages and vendor middleware
• Proven project experience and ability to lead a team through the architectural development process
• Discover and define technical requirements and their relationship to functional requirements while determining the adequacy of all documentation required for architecture definition
• Extensive team interaction skills, be at ease with presenting to senior management, have strong business/technology decision making skills, and outstanding written and verbal communication skills
This position is a senior member of the architectural staff, which articulates strategy and direction for technology and architecture throughout the organization to support systems delivery. There are no direct line management responsibilities but this role provides guidance and supports the development of team members by sharing extensive knowledge and experience.
