JOB POSITION: DB2 Administrator
LOCATION: Wilmington, DE
DURATION : 7 Months

Job Description :

· work with OS staff on testing and/or migration steps needed;
· work with JPMC Project Manager and IBM Technical Lead/Modernization Manager on DB2 tasks needed in the Project Plan;
· work with JPMC DB2 staff on the actual implementation of DB2 databases;
· perform problem analysis and determination;
· perform root cause analysis functions;
· utilize system monitoring tools as required;
· perform analysis on database performance, tuning and measurement;
· assist with data modeling techniques;
· assist with IT solutions utilizing databases;
· assist with data warehouse and data mart structure;
· advise on data distribution strategy;
· provide data and database administration;
· provide advice on data management software selection;
· provide advice on physical database design and tuning solutions;
· provide assistance and advice on Very Large Database (VLDB) environments;
· assist with data distribution strategy implementation;
· advise on development and design of data programs;
· assist with data extraction methodology;
· advice on data movement tools;
· assist with data extract and transformation processing;
· assist with the data collection design strategy;
· assist with and perform the data migration plan;
· implement data conversion tool set;
· implement the data extract and transformation processing and
· update the Project Plan as required.
