Northrop Grumman Information Systems sector is seeking a SharePoint Designer/Developer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Patuxent River, Maryland.

The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman Information System's Federal Mission Programs Business Unit supporting the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) in a wide range of leading edge Information Technology products and services supporting the Naval Aviation Enterprise.

This position will assist in the design, development, and administration of the NAVAIR Enterprise SharePoint Environment. This position is responsible for design, development, and management of processes to deliver custom and standard SharePoint sites to customers. This position will work closely with the software development and server teams to stay current on technologies and software standards.

Roles and Responsibilities:
• Work with team members to plan, develop and execute SharePoint projects as well as track and report on the status of projects.
• Attend customer meetings to gather and document requirements from customers for their SharePoint sites.
• Design, develop and test SharePoint sites.
• Train customers on SharePoint sites.
• Create custom SharePoint web parts.
• Create SharePoint Workflows

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:
• High school diploma.
• Minimum 9 years total relevant experience.
• Experience in software development using SharePoint, .NET and HTML.
• Experience with SharePoint Designer and Visual Studio.
• Ability to work with customers to gather, document, and track software requirements through the software development life-cycle.
• Ability to work with technical and non-technical business owners to successfully complete work assignments.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a larger team.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET clearance (interim required to start).
Preferred Qualifications:
Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years software development experience.
• Experience with Java, XML, SQL (SQL Server preferred).
• Experience with SharePoint 2010.
• Active SECRET clearance.
