Technical expertise required for the database administrator position:
· Proficient developing, testing and deploying software components such as Oracle stored procedures written in PL/SQL.
· Proficient installing, patching and administering Oracle 10g and 11g.
· Proficient with Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC) and Grid management.
· Ability to monitor database performance and execute performance tuning and optimization when needed.
· Ability to execute and manage data backups, copies, and restores of database instances as needed.
· Ability to tune individual SQL statements for improved performance.
· Proficient researching and troubleshooting errors or application performance issues.
· Ability to write and maintain script processes in Pearl or UNIX shell scripting for file brokering and data loading.
· Proficient with Red Hat Linux.
· Proficient with data migration and integration techniques.
· Ability to train and mentor others team members.
