Job Title :ORACLE APPLICATION DBA
Location : Irving, TX
Duration : 12 Months contract

Job Description:
Intermediate application DBAs to support Argentina applications from the US per Argentina regulatory requirements.
Development system (database) installation.
Supporting application team in research problems and resolutions Performing table and index reorganizations.
Setting up and managing primary to COB site replication (Export/Import) Performance and tuning of applications.
Export/Import data as required.
Perform schema changes as required.
Run adhoc queries as required.

Competencies:
Candidate should have proficiency in following areas 1. Configuration of Oracle server 2. Installation of Oracle binaries, configuration of Instance and Database with standards.
Knowledge of Oracle and database configuration parameters.
Knowledge of backup and recovery processes.
Knowledge of Oracle and AIX monitoring tools, troubleshooting the database for slower performance.
Knowledge of Oracle security features.
Knowledge of unix scripting, unix tools like VI editor and common unix commands e.g grep, more, cat, ps 8. Knowledge of Oracle utilities, tuning parameters, query tuning and tools used.
Knowledge of Performance monitoring and tuning, problem determination.
