Job Role: Senior SQL DBA



Job Description:

We currently host and support customer base with heterogeneous database environment consisting primarily of Oracle & SQL Server databases in clustered and non-clustered platforms. (SQL Server cluster, Oracle RAC)

Work Experience/Skills Required:

* 6+ years of hands - on SQL Server administration experience

* Must have 5+ years of T-SQL programming and Performance Tuning experience

* Proven track record managing SQL Server 2000, 2005, and 2008 Instances in a Standalone and Clustered configuration

* Proven levels of experience with MS SQL replication and other High Availability solutions

* Extensive experience with different backup/restore and disaster recovery solutions

* Expert level experience in administering large databases in mission critical environment

* In depth understanding of the Microsoft SQL Server best practices

* Solid Knowledge of the SQL Server Storage design and its best practices

* Strong knowledge and experience with computer hardware including Servers, Network, SAN technologies, I/O subsystems

* Solid experience and troubleshooting skills with Windows 2003 and Windows 2008 Operating Systems

* Good communication skills, strong Teamwork and organization skills

* Positive attitude, problem solving skills and self-initiative are must qualities

Work Experience / Skills Preferred:

* Familiarity to SQL Server component services (e.g. SSIS, SSAS, SSRS)

* Experience with Oracle RDBMS solution is a plus

Education Required:

BS/MS in Computer Science or related field

Education Preferred:

Microsoft SQL server certifications are a plus
