Title: Data Warehouse Analyst
Description
The Data Warehouse Analysts role is to design and implement data warehouses, data marts, and data stores, while ensuring high levels of data availability in a healthcare support environment. This includes the analysis and selection of clinical, operational and patient experience data sources; the ETL processes to transform raw data into report-ready form; and integration with reporting environments and front-end interfaces.
Responsibilities
Design and manage data warehouse improvement and growth projects
Develop and maintain Extract Transform and Load (ETL) processes across multiple data sources
Work with application development staff, department managers and end users to integrate data warehouse with front-end reports, applications and interfaces
Create models for new data warehouse development and/or changes to existing data stores
Identify inefficiencies and gaps in current data warehouses and leverage solutions
Identify data discrepancies and data quality issues, and work to ensure data consistency and integrity
Install and configure relevant components to ensure data warehouse access
Monitor system details within the data warehouse, including stored procedures and execution time, and implement efficiency improvements
Analyze user requirements for reports, forms, queries, and data extraction
Respond to and resolve database access and performance issues
Knowledge & Experience
Working technical experience with designing, building, installing, configuring and supporting data warehouses
Experience with the SQL Server BI stack (SSIS, SSAS and SSRS)
Strong understanding of relational database structures, theories, principles, and practices
Hands-on experience with data architecting, data mining, large-scale data modeling, and business requirements gathering/analysis
Good knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws
Strong understanding of database structures, theories, principles, and practices
Broad knowledge of reporting environments, query tools and practices
Working technical experience with designing, building, installing, configuring and supporting SQL Server databases
Hands-on database tuning and troubleshooting experience
Experience with healthcare related data a plus
