Title: Data Warehouse Analyst


Description
The Data Warehouse Analyst’s role is to design and implement data warehouses, data marts, and data stores, while ensuring high levels of data availability in a healthcare support environment. This includes the analysis and selection of clinical, operational and patient experience data sources; the ETL processes to transform raw data into report-ready form; and integration with reporting environments and front-end interfaces.


Responsibilities
• Design and manage data warehouse improvement and growth projects
• Develop and maintain Extract Transform and Load (ETL) processes across multiple data sources
• Work with application development staff, department managers and end users to integrate data warehouse with front-end reports, applications and interfaces
• Create models for new data warehouse development and/or changes to existing data stores
• Identify inefficiencies and gaps in current data warehouses and leverage solutions
• Identify data discrepancies and data quality issues, and work to ensure data consistency and integrity
• Install and configure relevant components to ensure data warehouse access
• Monitor system details within the data warehouse, including stored procedures and execution time, and implement efficiency improvements
• Analyze user requirements for reports, forms, queries, and data extraction
• Respond to and resolve database access and performance issues


Knowledge & Experience
• Working technical experience with designing, building, installing, configuring and supporting data warehouses
• Experience with the SQL Server BI stack (SSIS, SSAS and SSRS)
• Strong understanding of relational database structures, theories, principles, and practices
• Hands-on experience with data architecting, data mining, large-scale data modeling, and business requirements gathering/analysis
• Good knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws
• Strong understanding of database structures, theories, principles, and practices
• Broad knowledge of reporting environments, query tools and practices
• Working technical experience with designing, building, installing, configuring and supporting SQL Server databases
• Hands-on database tuning and troubleshooting experience
• Experience with healthcare related data a plus

Formal Education & Certification
• Bachelor’s degree in the field of computer science and/or equivalent work experience.
• Microsoft certifications a plus

Travel Requirements: 10-20%
