JR: 62473: Security Engineer, 3

Clearance: US Citizenship with Active Public Trust or the ability to obtain which entails (US Citizenship & Must be able to pass a background investigation and credit check.)

Location: Washington, D.C. - National Press Building, near the White House

Target salary: $70K to $75K – may be able to go to $80K



Duties and Responsibilities:

Providing day to day network security support for the client's LAN / WAN Networks that connect the Headquarters facilities and the Wide Area Network (WAN) to provide secure, reliable, and redundant network connectivity for client's Headquarters staff. This includes any high-speed lines that will be required in the client's Headquarters site and other locations.



TOP ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITES

Create product configurations, documentation and training based on customer requirements
Research and recommend new technologies and solutions
Perform Assessment services and deliver proposed solutions
May act as a lead on projects or provide backup to lead
Mentor junior level engineers as needed
Support other Cisco based networking equipment as needed
Rotational On-call with other team members
Required Qualifications:

Requires bachelor's degree (or equivalent certifications and experience) and five years of related experience.

Strong communication skills are required.

The candidate must have strong Cisco experience in the following areas: Security/network experience, STP, VTP, Quality of Service (QoS), Layer 2/3 redundancy and Ciscoworks. Cisco.

Desired Qualifications:

Security+, Net+, CCNA, CISSP, CCNP certifications are desired.
