Embedded database for set-top box software

McObject announced availability of its eXtremeDB embedded database software platform for set-top box electronic programming guides (EPGs). eXtremeDB is the first database designed from scratch for real-time embedded systems. By rejecting "one size fits all" limitations in its supported data types, storage modes and operating environments, and in other key areas, eXtremeDB lends the highest degree of developer flexibility. This enables providers of set-top boxes to reduce costs and offer richer programming guide technology for end-users.
