FindFirst is only available for DAO what is the equivalent in ADO ? I think it is just Find . Also the same applies with NoMatch ??

You can do it in 2 steps in ADO, do a .MoveFirst method then .Find method.
Instead of .Nomatch, you can check .EOF property to see if search is at the end of recordset.
